AWESOME SONG!

Hi guys!  I was listening to this AWESOME SONG!     First Day of my Life by Bright Eyes.   I think I'm going to attempt to do a cover of it.  I can kind-of* sing...    I am able to play the mandolin part I wrote for it, write a violin part, play the bassline on the piano...so...  All I have to do is learn the guitar parts.   I can plink around on a guitar and play a few things, so I'll manage.   It will probably a 7-8 track recording in garage band.  Anyway, here's the song.

Every year in mid December I get a really nasty sinus infection.  (Note, I used the mucus coloured font for "sinus infection) 
It usually involves about a week of sneezing, sore throat stuffs...and....missing all of the really fun Christmas Parties and such.

This year it is *REALLY* important that I go to the Christmas Party because I am in charge of the camera work and most of the editing for a 30-45 minute film that I am making with my friends.

Hopefully I can get to feeling better by Thursday......

Hi!   How are you guys?    I should hope that you are all doing very well.

Right now I am once more trying to make sense of my chemistry questions....They are proving to be increasingly difficult, and there is no sign of them letting up.  Who knew that some problems on a sheet of white typing paper could be so brutal!    

I wish someone was online on the discussion group I made (Link is at the top of the blog)    I usually talk to some of my friends on there when I'm bored.   It is a rather remarkable way to pass the time if I do say so myself.   I do wish that Yahoo would let me customize my discussion group a bit more though... But I am happy that I'm able to have the group and that the hosting for it (and my many others that I rarely use) is free.  

One time I made a forum with some weird forum making client thingymajgger and they made me pay for it when there was nothing that said I would have had to pay when I created the account.    I promptly shut down that forum and never paid.  I assume that if they had really wanted that money, they would have already hunted me down,   right?....

Well, that's all the ramblings I have time to type for now...

Well,  I'm about to leave to go camping tomorrow. ((I'll be gone until Sunday)) I've got to finish my Chemistry work and go to Orchestra practice tonight.  I have *no* idea how I'm going to get chemistry, violin practice, packing, and orchestra done today *headdesk*

I am excited about going on the camping trip though! Especially since some of my really good friends will be there as well.  This means lots of crazy awesome videos and such to upload when I get back.  Seriously,  I may have hours of footage to edit.   I'm hoping to do a 4-5 part series about the trip with each video being about 15-30 minutes long.  That means I'm going to have to bring extra SD cards for my camera since I can't bring my MacBook due to the weather conditions.  So far I've got  4gb and  2gb cards. That means I've got about 3 hours of recording time of the lowest quality setting—which is what I use anyway, so that doesn't really matter.  

Hopefully I can find the time to go to "Wally-world" today and get an 8gb card.  That means I could probably take up to 8 hours of footage while on the trip.  The next problem I'll encounter is getting it all on YouTube so that I can upload it here.  I can forsee many MANY nights awake editing in the near future. So you guys had better subscribe to my youtube channel and follow this blog.

Well, due to a really bad headache, my plans were in vain DX

But there is a silver lining (Okay, I'll admit it, the "Lining" is nothing more than a piece of aluminum foil being held over my laptop but...it'll pass) 

Another reason for a lack of videos is that I filmed most of my videos from over the summer outside—where my loud family wouldn't interfere.  Naturally I didn't take into consideration that yes, there would be a winter, and that yes! It **WOULD** get cold outside.  *headdesk* 

Therefore my "Studio" is out of order, and I have yet to get everything set up in the basement so I can have a place to film my videos for you guys.

I'm uploading, as a substitute, A short, unedited "Lady Gaga Dance Battle" I did with my brother.  When it will be uploaded, the world shant know at this time....BUT IT WILL BE SOON....SOON!  *dies*

Demon Brother Dx

I'm currently on hold with Apple as I type this— trying to get iTunes problems with my iPod resolved...   And just as we were getting to the root of the problem,  my 6 year old brother comes in the room and unplugs the iPod from the computer because he wanted to play on it.     I am *Not* happy about that at all DX  

He received no punishment from my parents and about 30 minutes of my time was wasted xD

Wow... long time no blog...
Never fear!  I'm here ((Freak out time))

Wow... a lot has happened... my YouTube channel has taken off, and a documentary about my friends and I is in the works.       Therefore this blog, my homepage, has taken a bit of a back seat.    I just.. don't see this going anywhere big right now... maybe later, with my channel to back it up, but...right now... my real life is a bigger priority.

This blog was an incredibly awesome summer project, but... I have been accepted into an orchestra, and my music has turned from a class in "Homeschool" to... my job.   I mean... getting $60.00 an hour job within 2 years is obviously going to majorly outweigh anything that I've got going on here.  

So, what I'm saying is... I love you guys.  My followers and supporters kept me from going insane this summer, as a 13 year old, cooped up in his house with no friends around.    So...thank you guys... <3
And I know that, I can always come back here with my writing and such.  

This blog is serving as my website for now.. and non video updates, and blog posts will be featured here.   You can even watch all of my new vids in the sidebar widget.

I'm needing YouTube vlog/skit ideas, and have none...  I really need to upload another video if I ever hope to gain more subscribers.    Maybe I can get a sustainable and growable audience of 100+ subscribers by the end of the year.  I want to get my 3 closest friends and I, in front of a camera, and record our conversations, and see how they evolve...Kind of like a pointless talk show.   That's bound to bring in a few subscribers....right?    
Of course, we'll keep the conversations clean for the camera, so all can watch it.  Although, that could prove to be a bit of a challenge, we'll still try to keep a PG-13 and below conversation policy xD :3.

I wish I had a full time video editor like ShayCarl does....  It takes me FOREVERRRRR  to get the shortest of videos how I want them in iMovie. Although, since my web-based entrepreneur-ness has brought in NO revenue whatsoever, I probably wouldn't be able to afford that for more than 3 days xD

*Phew*  I just got done practicing my violin for now... I've been really putting in the hours.   I've got to try out for the Rep. Orchestra at Blair (Vanderbilt University) on Saturday and  I'm REALLY nervous.   0.o

How are you guys?   It's been a long time, hasn't it!     I'm sorry 'bout that.  I just got my priorities either (A)Mixed Up or (B) In Order.

Before that gets out of hand, I'd like to say thank you, for helping get the blog view counter over 1500 views!       You guys have pretty much made my week.   I'm excited to think that I've got a bit of an online following.     Also, go check out the new video I uploaded.  It's in my YouTube widget down in the sidebar.    It's short, but funny.   xD

Seriously though, a YouTube partnership is a big deal, and can become a good source of revenue for the channel and this blog.

I was sitting last night, thinking about my blog, whether I should have started out with my own hosting, used wordpress, or whether just making a Blogger Blog was a good idea...   I know maybe I don't have all of the customization abilities and such, but I like my blog just fine how it is, and maybe if it gets popular, Google will help me out with some of the HTML stuff :P

Why smileyranger doesn't use MySpace/FaceBook/Twitter/DailyBooth/GooglePlus etc. 

Well, I'm a major non-conformist, and as you can tell, I march to the beat of my own drum.  I've some friends that are constantly asking if I'll join FaceBook, and I tell them, I don't want to go with the flow of the crowd,  the Big Brother of the Internet. (Comment if you liked my 1984 joke xD)  I chose blogging as an outlet for whatever I wanted to say, and just love the style, the format, all of it really.   It's a more personal format, and then it isn't. I can't really define it. I'm usually horrid at defining things, but for some reason, I love finding the meaning of many things.  Such as life? As a Christian, I know I'm not just here to die, but this world is a test, a roller coaster with no seatbelts. We try to see how well we can stay in our seats before we fall out, (die) to meet our judgement day.       Does that make any sense?   I have many theories and such, and have just not typed them up or recorded them for YouTube.

So now you have just learned how to make polish sausage, and why I don't use FaceBook.

Moving on......... *Fumbles tie* 


My friend "Lizzeh"just said I should use this blog to tell detailed descriptions of my day, using tons and tons of fluffy adjectives to make it seem as if were an epic... imagine, my day, an epic.   Yeah, an epic fail xD
For someone else, that would have been a great idea... and maybe later this fall, it'll be a good idea for me to use already :P ((Not that it isn't, I just don't have the most exciting of days...))
Although, come to think of it, getting bit by a goose was fun..... Who knew my finger could look like a Cheez-It to one 0.o

Whenever I get a chance,  I really need to get Windows XP installed on my MacBook pro so that I can run my old copy of Sim City 4 deluxe edition <3  I also need to get a new external keyboard and a connector so that my MacBook pro (Late 2010) can connect to my 20" dell LCD monitor! *Does happy dance*
It'll be awesome using my Macbook to play Sim City on a big-ish screen!       I'll have to post screenshots when I get a  chance, because I'm just so excited!   SimCity 4 is probably my favourite computer game, and I haven't gotten to play it in over a year....yeah, our last windows machine croaked over a year ago... wow...

Did you know that my typing speed has almost doubled since I started this blog?  I wonder if that ha anything to do with it?   'Twould be awesome if that's true, because then I could say that blogging is a good thing.

Would you guys mind if I put AdSense ads on here?  And If I did allow them to come up on the blog, would you guys click on them? Because every time you guys clicked on one of the ads, I'd get paid! That's me playing the Violin and Mandolin!
So I hope I pleased at least 1 or 2 of you Tetris fans out there.

I used the mandolin for the main melody, then I had an improv mandolin part, Improv violin (plucking) bass-line (G&D strings),  and then one more mandolin part (improv) and 3 more violin parts (bowed) in which I noodle around in that key hoping it sounds good.

Did you guys like the end result?  I think it's pretty good for 30 minutes on a Sunday night :3

Challenge FAYUL...

So... how are my blog readers?  
Today I feel like typing a rather long post, even though I don't really have the time to do so...   But my addiction to this blog trumps out anything important that might be useful in life.

So, as you might remember, a few posts back I decided to challenge my friends to see if they would comment on my blog without my telling them to.  This would prove that they either read my blog regularly or they didn't.  Well, hilariously enough, none of them responded xD   I'm not upset at all, I just found it rather funny that most of the time I'm blogging to random strangers :P  Although I do know that my friends give great support and I love them for being so awesome, and still being my friends after all the craziness that I've put them through for the past 7 years.

Today I got out the big dell keyboard so I don't have to give myself carpal tunnel trying to deal with the flat keyboard and giant...GIANT palm-rests on My MacBook Pro.        Although, when sitting on a screened porch without plugging in your laptop...these USB devices sure do zap your battery life... *1.48 minutes later*... I guess I'd rather have carpal tunnel than have to walk the 35 feet to and from my bedroom to get the darn charger and plug it in... So I'm now back on my laptop keyboard...which is a rather nice keyboard....

A Rattled Recollection...

I sit here trying to make sense of the past week or so through many many pen-and-paper rough drafts with little (no) success whatsoever. So to be fair (and an honest human) I must warn you, be prepared, be very prepared for one of the worst multi-subject posts in blog history.

Well, a quick update of a new sidebar widget-like gizmo I made!   It has all of the links to the social-type sites that I'm on so that you can follow and support me on those sites.  (These sites are MY favourite FaceBook and Twitter like sites)   I also recommend that you join the one called Chicken Smoothie if you haven't already.   One of the best forum communities I've ever used.  And if you join (one account per computer, mind you) Please please post in your signature that I referred you there.  It'll do wonders for my account there, believe me.    

And about the Apple Fritter site,  It's just a place where Apple computer enthusiasts come together and talk in a great bunch of forums!   Same as with CS (chicken smoothie) please post in your signature that I sent you there.

Okay, I'm going to try to get on to the main point of this post....which is potentially deadly, costly, and...itchy.... *wipes off a glass shard* 

Okay, This all happened on my camping trip with my family.   'Twas a great trip!   We got to the park last Sunday and I started filming for a quick video montage that I'll have up for you guys soon.  But now back to the point....  

On friday we were wanting to go by the gift shop to see if we could get a physical memento of the trip.  And naturally, the gift shop would have the overpriced snack food.  But why would you buy state park food when you could O.D. on Munchos and SunDrop at the local market?   I assume you people understand. 

So we go to the market and get our *goods* and jump back in the car.    Dad pulls out of the dusty, syringe, gravel covered parking....place and jumps upon the road.  Now, with my luck pulling the world upon which I live to it's dirty, skint knees, a large piece of metal comes hurtling down the road!   It begins bouncing and we all expected it to hit the undercarriage,  but nooooo it slams against the hood and CRASHES into the windshield caving in a spot about the size of 1 square foot and a half dollar sized hole. After the impact, glass flies EVERYWHERE.   Thank God dad kept driving and didn't swerve and/or stop because we would have had quite the intimate relationship with a tanker truck...
So we drive trying to dodge still crumbling and flying glass shards.......  
After pulling into the campground once more, mom begins to have a *slight      (*Slight is a rather flexible term, dont ya think?)   Anywho, after many "in the boonies" related dropped calls to to insurance company, they said that they could get a replacement windshield into our currently undriveable car around tuesday.
Great...BESIDES the fact that I had to be home the. next. day. 
So long story short (inside joke) a nice auto-glass man came out and replaced it within 2 hours.  So luckily, we were able to come home the next day.

Yesterday I was thinking. Will I still be updating this blog in oh, say... 5 years from now?  Will work and such get in the way, or will this blog be a source of revenue?  If so, will blogger even exist then? And I assume that if my blog is popular, Google might transfer my account to a different service so that I can still have the same blog with all of the old posts.   So I guess the only way to tell is to just keep blogging down this road called life, and invite you guys along for the journey...via my blog.

On a rather unrelated note, I noticed that the keys on my 13'' Core2Duo MacBook Pro that I've had for 7 months has...Shiny slightly worn keys!  Oddly enough, I find that very neat because well, It's now *my* MacBook that I've put some wear on.  Although, A scratch would make me super uber sad, for I have babied this laptop to death.  I try not to let it even have a smudge on it....
It's funny, really, because my last computer was a 1999 iBook G3 clamshell (tangerine) that I used for quite sometime.  Wow, that thing was awesome... dropped, scratched, scuffed, dented, etc.  It's never quit working (Comment below about your amazing old laptops)   I ran my life off of only 18 gb of HardDrive space for a LONG time!   So a 250GB drive in my MacBook Pro is awesome :)   I sure hope to get at least 41/2 more  years of life out of my MacBook Pro.    (Something I definitely couldn't have done on my 2006/2007 dell desktop.*
*Note, the dell is sitting in the basement... unused.  I'm using it's Keyboard and LCD on my iMac G3 indigo though.

I have come to a conclusion. The ONLY reason I use YouTube is because I got my account before Google had dominated it.  Also, the only reason why I use Gmail is because my friend Michael had me get one.  So why do I use Google's Blogspot service for blogging?   Because I can tether that account with the others that I regret getting in the first place.  Ironic, huh.

So my choice web-service?  YAHOO!!!!   Why is that?  Well, any web-service can look pretty awesome when you're in 2003 using Ask-Jeeves and then you look over to your T.V. and a Yahoo ad with a yodeling flash mob forms into the shape  of the yahoo logo.  Amazing, huh.   So now I use Yahoo groups when I can, and hope Yahoo can come out of the rubble and crush google!!!!!!

My friend EzBef (nickname, mind you) might be making a blog soon!  I advised that she make a google account and make a blogger blog because if she ever gets a YouTube account, she can synchronize all of those accounts.     I figure that when she gets a blog, we can be each other's first blog followers (Unless someone likes my blog and decides to follow it first :P) 

But I really don't care as much about the blog followers as much as the page views. because that lets me know that my YouTube and Blogger (oh, and Nabble) accounts are doing good.

Tick bite, not Byte, mind you.

Well, to start I was at my friend's house last Saturday and got a tick bite.  I noticed the tick on Sunday, so it got plucked off... with the head still in.
So yesterday I had a bad headache, a ring around the bite, nausea, and dizzyness etc.  (Lyme disease much?)
So I go to the ER.   And wait and wait and wait.    Then at 9:00 PM I go to the pharmacy to get the medicine.   They didn't have exactly what the doctor prescribed, so after much trouble,  the capsule form was handed over.... At 11:00 Pm.     I then go home, swallow the nastiest medication known to man and crash out...
My day.....

New Title, New Plans.

Well, as you guys can see, I've changed the blog title.
I feel that it's moving more from a blog to videos, forums, and ways for the users to interact.  Of course, I will still try my hardest to do these daily posts.
The ByteMindedBrain TV will be a group of trusted ByteMindedBrain members creating videos, uploading them to my you tube channel, then they will go to the ByteMindedBrain TV area.

The forums should be a good way for the users to communicate and create their own blogs in the blog feature within the forums.

Now on a much lighter note, our new aircraft!
An elastic band powered prop balsa plain!   It flies about 150 feet and the landing gear actually works!

I was just watching some old "apple //e" ads. Wow, those things are Awesome! 
I guess it's a testimony to the longevity of apple products.  Believe it or not, one of those computers can still browse the internet.  Shall I repeat? A 1984 Apple //e can still browse the internet!

Today there is a water leak in the basement from the AC condensation pump.  It's in the high 80˚ƒ - 90˚ƒ today... Not really hot, but very very muggy in the south. I was on the screened porch with my MacBook Pro earlier and it got so hot that it felt like the Aluminum was burning my legs.

Anyway, I have to go for now.

I'm sorry that I'm just now getting this post out.  I've been kinda lazy and just blah feeling today. Sorry :P
Today I was trying fingerpicking on my Mandolin and found it rather efficient and nice. Many more note and chord possibilities.  Albeit not as loud as crosspicking, but still very, very neat.  But enough of that.
I'm going to be putting out some more YouTube skits within 2 weeks. I'm having some friends over to help with camera work. I'll be in charge of the editing. Maybe I should upgrade from iMovie to Final Cut Pro. Although, I don't really feel like spending that much, and that much time on and learning new software...


Computers... Our online workhorses. Almost magical machinery. Well, to me anyway.  Because when you have gone from typing commands on an //e with a green monochromatic screen, to the 1984 macintosh with the *ghasp* mouse, to the internet, bulletin boards, forums, websites etc. is quite amazing.  I sit here with my MacBook Pro typing a blog, thinking back at the old //e systems, running BBSes.

Nothing to post....

Well, so far, I can't think of anything to blog about. All I really did today was pick up some sheet music, go to Dollar General and go BACK to Dollar General to get some corn chips. 
But what struck me as funny was watching (I assigned these names) Shananay, De-shawn, Bon-qui-qui, and friends "converse"... Okay... they probably wanted to shoot me on the spot, but yeah, I laughed.  But hey, it's their fault for using they're  Ghetto-on-ese way of speech.

Ignorance is blissfully... Unnerving....

Ignorance, something we treasure, and something we question...

After a "Domestic Dispute" In mah 'hood, (Involves 80+ year old dealing "Relaxation Pills" from a power chair…) it was only fitting to go to the police station to get a police report.  Now the car has no AC, mind you. So I didn't want to leave my mandolin in the car. So I was proudly toting a LARGE BLACK CASE (Sawed off shotgun much?) to the police station….   After passing many cops, I got out with NO-ONE NOTICING!

Why do they *Force* kids to drink milk in public schools? You know, the hormone encrusted obesity fluid  kind found at yo' local Dollar General.

What good does it do when you have the 'Guv-Ment tryin' to put "Healthy?" foods out there, and then give them...That...
I mean, they could be om nom nommin' on Sun Drop soda and be better off...  
So let's protest to make water an option!
